Visitor after visitor to Kings Landing Historical
Settlement exclaims about their time at Kings
Landing. Comments such as - Excellent! Outstanding!
Fabulous! Informative and entertaining! – are regularly shared
with us after visitors have been here. They are astounded by the
size and scope of our village, and
the depth and accuracy of the presentation. Most of all, they love
our costumed staff who work tirelessly to ensure that visitors
are educated and entertained;
they live and breathe our slogan: “It’s not just history,
it’s
history well told.”
Each year over 80,000
people visit Kings Landing
Historical Settlement,
including over 8000 students, mostly from New Brunswick and
Maine.
Many museums and cultural institutions play a role in preserving
and sharing Canada’s history. Kings Landing Historical
Settlement is in the enviable position of bringing the history
off the pages
of a book,
out from behind a glass
case, and into the realm of a living, working settlement. It
is an international calibre institution, as credited by many
awards
over the years.Your financial
support is needed to keep this great asset alive and thriving.
Admission tickets, dining and shopping revenues constitute a
significant portion
of what is required
to manage Kings Landing, but in order to keep prices accessible
to the majority of the population these revenues will never exceed
more than
half of what is
required.
Kings Landing donors are people who
truly believe in the importance of our educational and
community-oriented goals,
and in preserving
the history
of
a people that
helped to shape what Canada is today. Every day we re-enact
day to day activities and special events that demonstrate
the peace-loving,
friendly
attributes
that Canadians still pride themselves upon today.
Please join
the countless individuals who have nurtured and supported
